Vasiliki kouzina: best and coolest greek restaurant in Milan
A jewel of beauty and taste in the center of Milan. It is a place that welcomes you with kindness, refinement and elegance. I go for lunch on saturday and I immediately feel in love with the restaurant. You breath a Pompeian atmosphere, walls and ceilings are completely red. The brass lights bets on the tables. It just feels like home. I ask Mr. Mauro, our very kind and gentle waiter the origin of the name “Vasiliki”.
Well, it’s very obvious: is the name of the owner, “a girl full of energy and passion” he says. I can’t wait to meet her next time. We start our journey with a fantastic black bread and bread with barley flour and Zachar: delicious ! Mezedes (entrance) are just perfect: tirokafteri and melitzanosalata are my favourite. I also love the deep blue of the dish. For Psari I choose to have caramelized octopus, which is really a fantastic idea. It is braised in red wine with beards of friars, onions, oregano and honey.
The dessert is a delicious chocolate cream with strawberry ice cream. I love this place beacause it also reminds me a magical moment of my life, when I was in love with a wonderful greek girl called Melina. She would love this cosy place !
