Fondazione Prada Milano presents SLIGHT AGITATION 2/4: PAMELA ROSENKRANZ

Feb 3rd, 2017

Fondazione Prada is almost 2 years old ! The architectural project developed by OMA studio, led by Rem Koolhaas, expands the repertoire of spatial types in which art can be exposed and shared with the public. Characterized by an articulated architectural configuration that combines seven existing buildings with three new buildings (Podium, Cinema and Tower), the new home is the result of the transformation of a distillery dating back to the early years of the twentieth century. The variety of new space becomes a stimulus for an agile and experimental program in which, while maintaining their autonomy, different languages and disciplines co-exist to enable an intellectual process. For us it is one of the most amazing place to visit in Milan. And not only for art ! Bar Luce, designed by film director Wes Anderson, recreates the atmosphere of a typical Milanese cafè. Although his movies often favor symmetrical tableaux, Anderson feels that ‘there is no ideal angle for this space. It is for real life, and ought to have numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc. Our favourite cocktail: Spritz Saint Germain.
SLIGHT AGITATION 2/4: PAMELA ROSENKRANZ is the name of the exhibition that will run between 9 Feb – 14 May 2017.The title of the project was inspired by the poetic expression “une légère agitation”, employed by the French historian Fernand Braudel to describe the tidal movement of the Mediterranean. Emotions are for grented.
